Experts tip

Use in winter baskets with plants from our range of winter patio plants.

Sorbet violas are a great variety for winter use. The flowers are smaller than a pansy, but borne in great numbers from autumn, right through winter and into the following spring.

These plugs can be potted up, grown on and planted out into the garden, or used 'as is' straight into baskets and containers.

For baskets and containers, we prefer to use violas over pansies. Their growth is more compact and bushy, and less likely to get straggly.

Our plugs are supplied as healthy plants with a good root system. They will begin flowering about four weeks after delivery.
