Use double the recommended dose of controlled release fertiliser to keep these greedy plants healthy.

These vigorous trailing plants are a world away from the traditional seed raised petunia. The strong stems will trail up to two feet (60cm). The large flowers are available in a wide range of colours.

Grow them in plastic or wicker baskets or a planter (tall ones such as urns are particularly good). You will only need three plants per basket to create an impressive display.

We do not recommend growing these in mixed baskets or planters - they are simply far to vigorous and will take over.

Surfinias are heavy feeders. If using controller release fertilizer we recommend doubling the recommended dose to keep plants at their prime.

Our plugs are well established plants grown either in an 'Ellepot' type glue plug or a large size plug. A Ellepot is a mix of compost and perlite wrapped in a bio-degrabeable mesh. The roots can freely grow through the mesh.

These plug plants are ready to be planted directly into a hanging basket or other container or they can be potted to a 9cm pot and grown on for bedding out.
